Batavia was a ship of the Dutch East India Company (VOC).It was built in Amsterdam in 1628, and armed with 24cast-iron cannons and a number of bronze guns. Batavia was shipwrecked on her maiden voyage, and was made famous by the subsequent mutiny and massacre that took place among the survivors. A twentieth-century replica of the ship is also called the Batavia and can be visited in Lelystad, Netherlands. (wiki)

Glanycus coendersi
Moths of the genus Glanycus (Thyrididae - Striglininae) ranges from China and India to Borneo. It consists of six species, all with fenestrae (“windows”) on at least the hindwings and with bright orange/red and brown/brick coloration, probably aposematic (a warning that the moth is presumably distasteful to predators).
This striking species, Glanycus coendersi, distinguished by the conspicuous red coloration on the wings, occurs in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak, Kalimantan and Malaku Islands.

Margay is a mammal that belongs to family of cats. They are shy and spend most of the time above trees and prefers life in evergreen forests.
Unlike other cats, Margay is able to move down the tree, with its head going before feet (like squirrels). This is possible because it has very flexible ankles that can rotate up to 180 degrees and a long tail that provides complete balance, making them one of the best 4-legged tree climbers in the world.
It is estimated that more than 14,000 margays are killed each year for its fur.

Did you know a flower placed in highlighter fluid can absorb the fluorescent ink into its leaves and petals? Shining a black light onto it then reveals a delicate network of glowing veins. The colours in this amazing image by Boaz Ng are natural.
